Job summary

RailWorks is seeking an Office Engineer to support project teams by aligning technical execution with budget and timeline goals for NYC transit rail projects. You will manage scheduling, cost engineering, EVM, and risk mitigation to ensure on-time delivery. Qualified candidates have 5–10 years in heavy civil construction, a relevant engineering or CM degree, and strong Primavera P6 and Excel skills.

Travel across the U.S. and Canada may be required.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in heavy civil construction, preferably rail transportation.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management required; masters preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain master schedules using Primavera P6 with critical path analysis.
• Monitor budgets, track labor claims, and evaluate cost variances using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Create reports and dashboards (Power BI or Excel) for stakeholders.
• Evaluate change orders and manage subcontract processes.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Oversee document control and procurement to align with schedules.
