Job summary

Acara Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Phoenix, AZ for a 6-12 month contract with potential for permanent hire. The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining train systems, guideways, switches, and doors.

You will work a 3rd shift with training periods and rotating shifts. Requires hands-on electrical and mechanical skills, strong problem-solving, and adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year minimum experience maintaining and repairing automotive or transportation systems.
• 1 year minimum experience using hand tools.
• Knowledge of basic electronic theory is preferred.
• Experience in railroad, APM, or transportation industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system failures.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on train vehicles and wayside subsystems.
• Repair or replace defective parts using schematics, blueprints, manuals, and documentation.
• Respond to system failures and assist with vehicle recovery to restore operations.
• Support emergency response activities and assist passengers when required.
• Conduct detailed preventive maintenance inspections and adjustments on vehicles and subsystems.
