Job summary

Modern Railway Systems, the systems subsidiary of Stacy Witbeck, is hiring a Construction Project Manager to lead east coast rail work from Charlotte. Lead the team through design, construction, and commissioning of signals, OCS, and track work while controlling cost and schedule.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy civil/rail transit, strong leadership, and proficiency in Primavera P6, Bluebeam, and MS Office. Willingness to travel and work on-site is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience on Heavy Civil, Systems and/or Rail Transit projects.
• Experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager on rail/transit projects.
• Ability to read blueprints and plans; strong leadership and decision making.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project budgets, invoices, change orders, and cost forecasting.
• Coordinate field engineering, layout, and progress walks on site.
• Develop schedules and 4-week look-ahead planning with superintendents.
• Manage subcontractors to meet schedule and budget targets.
• Monitor safety, quality, RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Review quantities and cost coding; approve procurement.
• Serve as liaison among owners, engineers, and internal team.
