Job summary

Virginia Passenger Rail Authority seeks a Project Manager to plan and execute rail projects across Virginia, coordinating with CSXT, NS, VRE, Amtrak and others. You will manage scope, budgets, schedules, and quality while ensuring contractual obligations are met and safety standards observed.

The role requires strong organizational skills, rail/transit knowledge, and the ability to lead design and construction activities from planning through close-out, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Proven project management experience in multi-million-dollar infra in transportation.
• Familiarity with rail project design/construction and procurement processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee statewide Virginia projects and coordinate with CSXT, NS, VRE, Amtrak and others.
• Develop project scopes, fees, and design procurement documents; monitor budgets, schedules, and quality.
• Lead planning, development, design, construction, and close-out phases; ensure compliance with VPRA quality programs.
