Job summary

The Chicago Transit Authority is seeking a Manager, Rail Instruction to supervise the design, delivery, and administration of training for Rail Service employees and related departments. You will coordinate with Learning & Support, audit programs, and ensure training aligns with operational needs, promotional criteria, and agency directives.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage staff performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Administration or related field with 5 years of training experience.
Experience in needs analysis, instructional design, curriculum content development or technology education.
Experience with various methods of training delivery (classroom, e-learning, etc.).
Valid State of Illinois Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Oversees the Authority's Rail Training Programs. Facilitates and supports training initiatives for all areas of Training and Instruction.
Coordinates with Learning & Support in developing and evaluating Rail Instruction Training Programs.
Ensures that training programs are being conducted effectively and efficiently by facilitators by performing audits.
Confers with Department Staff to determine training initiatives, analyzes training needs, sets objectives and assesses the overall effectiveness of training efforts.
