• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in railroad operations, transportation, logistics, dispatching, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to learn and apply railroad operating rules, safety requirements, and dispatching procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Must pass all required training, rules examinations, and qualification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor the safe movement of trains and on-track equipment within assigned territory.
• Issue track authorities, bulletins, and operating instructions per rules and procedures.
• Maintain continuous communication with locomotive engineers, conductors, and field personnel.
• Monitor train locations, track conditions, and operational restrictions.
• Plan train movements to minimize delays and ensure efficient operations.
• Maintain dispatcher logs and required documentation.
• Report accidents, incidents, and unsafe conditions promptly.
• Initiate emergency response procedures when necessary.
• Communicate delays and changes to affected departments.
