Job summary

Florida East Coast Railway seeks a Supervisor of Line of Road to oversee rail maintenance operations, supervise track gangs and inspectors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and coordination with multiple teams.

You will communicate daily conditions, production, and risks to senior management, and respond to derailments or service disruptions in collaboration with transportation and mechanical departments. Travel is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Demonstrate history / experience in safety compliance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve.

Responsibilities

• Manage engineering operations as outlined in FEC’s operating plan.
• Supervise and manage the activities of track gangs, track inspectors, and hyrail operations.
• Ensure compliance with safe work procedures, FRA guidelines, and FEC policies and procedures.
• Lead people with clear direction and provide coaching and guidance to employees.
• Apply collective bargaining agreements and respond to grievances.
• Manage budgets and workforce productivity within FEC policy.
• Communicate track condition and daily production to senior management to adjust as needed.
• Participate in derailment and disruption investigations with transportation and mechanical teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
