North American Rail Solutions seeks a Foreman I to lead daily track maintenance and construction activities. This role oversees field crews, ensures safety and quality, and coordinates with project managers to deliver work on schedule.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in railroad/track maintenance with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, strong leadership and communication skills, and proficiency in reading blueprints. Outdoor, outdoor environment with safety-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• 5+ years in railroad/track maintenance with 1+ year in supervisory/management roles.
• Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and grade plans.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and track maintenance standards.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Operates and maintains heavy equipment safely.
• Reliable with professional demeanor and integrity.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily crew activities and briefings on goals, safety, and performance.
• Delegate tasks based on crew capabilities and assist with labor.
• Inspect and perform quality checks on completed work to meet standards.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Perform basic repairs (e.g., gaging, rail swaps, switch components, tamping).
• Monitor job site safety and enforce PPE and FRA/regulatory compliance.
• Identify and report hazards, equipment malfunctions, and deviations from plans.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and crew to coordinate schedules.
