North American Rail Solutions is seeking a Foreman I to lead daily track maintenance and construction efforts. You will oversee field crews, ensure safety and quality standards, and coordinate with project managers to deliver work on schedule.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and 5+ years in railroad/track maintenance with at least 1 year in supervision, plus strong leadership and FRA knowledge. This is an outdoor, full-time position with a focus on operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in railroad/track maintenance with 1+ year supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and grade plans.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and track maintenance standards.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Skilled in safe operation of tools and heavy equipment.
• Professional demeanor, integrity and reliability.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving job requirements.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsabilités

• Lead daily crew activities and conduct briefings on goals and safety.
• Delegate tasks based on crew capabilities and assist with labor.
• Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure standards.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment and tools safely.
• Perform basic repairs on track components as needed.
• Monitor site safety and enforce PPE and FRA compliance.
• Identify and report hazards and equipment issues.
• Communicate with project managers, clients, and crew to coordinate schedules.
• Maintain accurate reports, timesheets, logs and project docs.
• Promote a professional, safety-focused work environment.
• Participate in safety training and incident reporting.
• Train and mentor crew members for skill development and safety.
