Job summary

North American Rail Solutions is seeking a Foreman I to lead daily track maintenance and construction efforts. You will supervise field crews, enforce safety and quality standards, and coordinate with project managers to keep work on schedule in outdoor environments.

The ideal candidate has at least five years in railroad track maintenance and a year in supervision, with strong leadership, blueprint reading, FRA knowledge, and proficiency with basic computer tools.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years’ experience in railroad/track maintenance.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience.
• Ability to read blueprints and grade plans.
• Knowledge of FRA regulations and track maintenance standards.
• Proficient in basic computer applications.
• Skilled in safe operation of tools and heavy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily crew activities and briefings focusing on safety and performance.
• Delegate tasks based on crew capabilities and assist with labor.
• Perform inspections and quality checks to ensure standards are met.
• Operate and maintain heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate reports, timesheets, and equipment logs.
• Train and mentor crew members to promote safety and skill development.
