Job summary

STV’s Transportation South team seeks a Track Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to lead track design assignments for freight rail and transit projects in the region. You will coordinate across disciplines, engage clients and rail stakeholders, and mentor junior staff in a collaborative, project-driven environment.

You will use Bentley OpenRail, InRail and MicroStation to develop deliverables, participate in meetings, and support design decisions from planning through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• PE license preferred.
• Experience with design software (OpenRail, InRail, MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D).
• 5–10 years of rail track design experience.
• Experience leading track design and coordinating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Lead track design for freight rail, commuter rail and transit projects.
• Develop track plans, profiles, cross sections, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with survey, drainage, structures, utilities, signals and other disciplines.
• Support project managers on scope, schedule and budget.
• Participate in project meetings and respond to RFIs during construction.
