Job summary
Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking a Senior Rail & Track Engineer to join our growing team. This role requires extensive experience in railroad track design and a PE license, with proficiency in MicroStation OpenRoads. The ideal candidate can lead design efforts across disciplines and contribute to project scopes and fees.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
- 8+ years of Class I railroad track design experience.
- PE (Professional Engineer) license.
- Proficiency with MicroStation OpenRoads.
- AREMA design codes knowledge is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations and create estimates.
- Research and apply code provisions to design.
- Create cost estimates for project alternatives.
- Perform QA/QC by verifying design methodology, calculations, outcomes, etc.
- Lead the technical design and assigned staff on rail projects and coordinate with disciplines.
- Assist in the development of technical narratives, scope and fee for project pursuits.
