Job summary

Alstom is seeking an Entry‑level O&M Technician to operate and maintain the AGTS wayside system at our O&M site in Denver. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair central control and wayside components, with training leading to advanced certifications.

The role requires reading procedures, using hand and power tools, and supporting vehicle recovery during system failures. You will work a 24/7/365 schedule, requiring a valid driver’s license, safety training, and the

Qualifications

• Technical diploma or associate degree in maintenance, industrial technology, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation or related field is required.
• OSHA/safety training or operator qualifications are a plus.
• Internship or military technical training may substitute for direct rail experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot and repair Central Control computer console and Wayside systems.
• Inspect vehicles and related equipment for faults and ensure safe operation.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic inspections following procedures.
• Repair or replace defective parts using manuals, drawings and specs.
• Support recovery of malfunctioning vehicles and respond to system failures promptly.
• Communicate with customers and assist passengers during emergencies.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks on vehicles and subsystems as assigned.
