Job summary

Alstom in Phoenix seeks a Maintenance Technician to operate, troubleshoot, and repair the Automated People Mover (APM) system and related subsystems, including vehicles and wayside equipment. You will follow procedures and exercise sound judgment under supervision.

The role requires adapting to a 24/7/365 shift pattern, passing federal background checks, and physical work. Prior electromechanical training and railroad/transportation experience are valued with opportunities across locations.

Qualifications

• Formal training in an electromechanical field is required.
• HS diploma or equivalent; AS preferred in a related discipline.
• Experience in railroad, APM, or transportation systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and follow technical instructions and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Operate, troubleshoot, and repair APM vehicles and wayside subsystems.
• Respond to system failures and assist in recovery of disabled vehicles.
• Perform preventive maintenance inspections on vehicles and subsystems.
• Achieve and maintain functional certifications for assigned systems.
• Participate in ongoing training and skill development.
