The Maintenance Technician is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the Automated People Mover (APM) system and its associated subsystems at the O&M site. This includes vehicles serving the PHX Sky Train system and wayside subsystems such as guideway rail, switches, platform doors, and related components.
This role performs preventive, corrective, and recovery maintenance activities following established procedures and under normal supervision. Technicians exercise sound judgment and a high degree of autonomy when troubleshooting equipment failures and recommending repairs, while following direction from senior-level personnel as required.
This position is a critical contributor to delivering safe, reliable, and efficient transportation services. The Maintenance Technician C plays a vital role in meeting contractual commitments and ensuring customer satisfaction.
