Job summary

Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) in Minot, ND is seeking an experienced Signal Maintainer to support the S&C team. This role focuses on installation, repair, and maintenance of signals, crossing lights, and switch machines critical to safe rail operations.

The successful candidate will demonstrate 3+ years of hands-on S&C experience, completion of a railroad signal training program, and a strong safety mindset to ensure FRA-compliant operations in a 24/7 environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3+ years hands-on experience in S&C maintenance with signaling systems.
• Completion of a certified railroad signal training program before hire.
• Valid driver’s license; commercial license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Dig, cable repair, assemble and install signal equipment and pole-line work.
• Repair and/or replace damaged equipment; test and verify operation of S&C systems.
• Perform preventive maintenance on all S&C apparatus.
• Perform inspections and testing on each device as required.
