Job summary

CPKC in Wisconsin is seeking candidates for Signal & Communications roles to support year-round railway operations. You will work on installation, testing, and maintenance of signals, crossing lights, and related equipment, ensuring safety and reliability in a 24/7 environment.

Qualified applicants will have 3+ years in S&C maintenance, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays. A valid driver's license is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalency required.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in S&C maintenance and renewal.
  • Certification in CPKC safety rules and medical card preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Dig, cable repair, assemble and install signal equipment, pole line work.
  • Repair and/or replace damaged equipment, test and verify operation of S&C systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on all S&C apparatus.
  • Perform inspections and testing as required on each device.
  • Report problems; failures or unsafe conditions.
  • Ensure materials are available to complete work without delays.
  • Align with safety regulations and company policies.
