Canadian Pacific Kansas City is seeking a Manager of Signals and Communications to lead a skilled team ensuring reliable S&C systems, radio shop personnel, and yard control networks. The role involves testing, commissioning upgrades, and gathering data for affidavits, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of railroad experience required.
• Proficient knowledge of S&C equipment, signal principles, standards and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Directs safety leadership and cultivates continuous improvement in workplace safety.
• Analyzes reported wrong-side signal failures to prevent recurrence.
• Ensures S&C system safety meets acceptable standards.
• Approves entry into service of new or modified S&C systems (e.g. crossings).
• Maintains records of S&C equipment, installations and testing.
• Coordinates with maintenance and construction to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Coaches junior S&C staff on technical aspects as required.
• Distributes S&C alerts and updates with field action taken.
• Utilizes the collective bargaining agreement for effective work management.
