Job summary

WSP Global Inc. is seeking a Rail Quality, Safety & Compliance Project Manager to join our Transportation team in Utah. This part-time, variable hours role provides leadership for rail quality management, safety, and regulatory compliance across projects.

The role supports the development and execution of Quality and Safety Plans, conducts audits and inspections, and collaborates with clients and regulators to mitigate risks while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field; 15+ years of relevant post-education experience.
• Master's degree preferred.
• PM/Quality/Safety certification preferred (PMP, CQE, CSP, ISO Lead Auditor, etc.).
• Advanced understanding of rail project delivery, QA/QC, risk management, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong self-leadership and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality management and safety oversight for rail projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
• Lead development and monitoring of Quality Plans, Safety Plans, audits, inspections, and corrective actions.
• Conduct QA reviews, compliance assessments, audits, and inspections verifying adherence to requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Monitor project performance indicators related to quality, safety, and compliance and report findings.
