Job summary

WSP is seeking a Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex rail projects with regional, national and international significance. You will ensure safety, quality and on-time delivery within budget, while collaborating with client teams and internal disciplines across offices, sites and client locations.

The role focuses on leadership, stakeholder engagement and proactive risk management in a dynamic environment, with opportunities for professional development and progression within the PMCM

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering or management discipline.
• Chartered membership of a relevant professional body, or nearing completion of this status would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating disciplines through project meetings and workshops to meet safety, functional and regulatory requirements.
• Establishing robust project processes with the client’s team.
• Acting as primary client contact to align design and construction phases with expectations.
• Developing and managing client and stakeholder relationships.
• Compiling monthly reports and data-driven scenarios for senior management.
• Engaging with regulators, local authorities and community groups.
• Facilitating regular progress meetings and reports.
• Managing changes, risks and delays per contract rules (NEC3 & NEC4).
• Overseeing budgets, cost estimation, tracking and reporting.
• Ensuring safety leadership and CDM compliance.

Education

Degree in engineering or management

Chartered professional body (advantageous)
