Job summary

HNTB is seeking a Project Manager I – Engineering to manage project teams on multiple lifecycle projects across the Pittsburgh area. You will develop scope, oversee budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary teams to meet client expectations.

The role emphasizes driving on-time, on-budget results while maintaining quality and client satisfaction on both smaller and mini-mega initiatives. A strong technical background and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
• PE certification is preferred.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• AICP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develops project scope and fee quotations; assists in technical proposals and contracts.
• Serves as primary client liaison; manages project scope, schedule, and budget to client satisfaction.
• Performs technical discipline tasks including analysis, design, specifications, and production for projects.
• Leads development and execution of the project management plan and mentors team.
• Coordinates staffing, recruitment, development, and performance reviews for project staff.
• Supports business development and client relationships for strategic and mini-mega projects.
• May recruit, hire, and develop staff and perform other duties as assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

Professional Engineer (PE) certification

Project Management Professional (PMP)
