Job summary

Progress Rail Services Corp. in Cleveland, OH, is seeking a production supervisor to oversee day-to-day shop operations, manage a team of production workers, and ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing processes.

The role involves setting daily schedules, verifying materials, and guiding line leads to meet safety and quality goals. The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of lead experience in a machine tool environment, supervisory experience, and a solid understanding of HR policies

Qualifications

• 3-5+ years of lead experience in a machine tool environment.
• Supervisory or management experience in warehousing or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of establishing and maintaining a safe work environment.
• Familiarity with HR policies and applying them in certain situations.
• Thorough knowledge of production shop floor, including machine shop operations, equipment, and processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversees daily production manufacturing of Progress Rail products.
• Sets up production schedule and assigns daily work schedules.
• Verifies materials and tools are available for production.
• Works with line leads to set up proper and safe procedures for work being performed.
• Coaches team members to meet Quality, Safety, Velocity, and Cost metrics.
• Compiles weekly Open Orders reports.
