Job summary

BNSF Railway seeks Conductor Trainees in Alliance, NE to learn train operations, safety protocols, and real-time data coordination. You will gain hands-on and classroom training to manage train movements, adhere to safety rules, and contribute to the efficiency of the rail network.

Position is full-time (40 hours/week) with on-call requirements, night/weekend shifts, and potential seasonal variations. Travel to the training center in Overland Park, KS may be required during onboarding.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and communicate in English.
• Must be 18+ years old and eligible to work in the United States.
• Willing to travel as required and to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate track switches and derails to route trains.
• Inspect trains and equipment per federal regulations.
• Monitor communications and report daily work activity.
• Work in safety‑sensitive environments under extreme weather conditions.
