Job summary

King County Metro Transit's Rail Division is seeking a Rail Operations Support System Coordinator to help plan, develop, and maintain essential systems that support daily operations and payroll data accuracy.

The role emphasizes improving automated systems, responding to service needs, and coordinating with Rail Supervisors and Operators. It requires completion of probation and flexibility for on-call duties.

Qualifications

Current eligible King County Metro Transit Employees in a position represented by ATU 587.
Must have completed probation period.
Experience with payroll and Rail operations systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and conduct Rail Operator picks utilizing automated computer systems and applications.
Validate payroll transfer between automated systems each pay period; coordinate base assignments for system board operators; update associated records and data in automated systems.
Manage Rail Supervisor assignment picks and bi-weekly assignments for Rail Supervisors that include relief picks.
Develop methods to improve automated systems, applications, and functionality to better support transit operations; test system customizations, upgrades, and new releases; test and support peripherals, systems, and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve user-encountered system problems and breakdowns; coordinate with technical staff as required.
