Job summary

King County Metro Transit's Rail Division is seeking a Rail SCADA Systems Specialist Lead to coordinate the work of Rail SCADA Specialists and oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of SCADA communications systems across rail facilities. The role reports to the Rail SCADA Chief and leads on-site teams at multiple Link Light Rail facilities.

The ideal candidate will have advanced SCADA knowledge, strong leadership, and excellent communication skills, with experience in documenting

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of SCADA, communications, network applications, software and hardware.
  • Experience leading a team and coordinating work in field operations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience maintaining technical documentation and configuration control.
  • People leadership and results-driven attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Assist workload planning, prioritizing and assigning work schedules.
  • Train and mentor Rail SCADA System Specialists.
  • Monitor workflow and ensure maintenance schedules are followed.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to staff on performance and conduct.
  • Maintain records of work performed, time spent, materials used and diagnostics data.
  • Support service issues and perform diagnostics on SCADA and related hardware and software.
