Regional Transportation District (RTD) is seeking a Rail Operations Supervisor to oversee daily rail operations and supervise Rail Operators. You will coordinate with the Regional Operations Center to maintain safe, reliable service, respond to incidents, and implement operational solutions such as detours or bus bridges when needed.

The role emphasizes safety, customer experience, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• One year in transit operations, maintenance, schedule making, or related support function.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain Light Rail Vehicle Operator certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Rail Operators, including training, coaching, performance management.
• Oversee daily rail operations and ensure safe, reliable service delivery.
• Maintain real-time communication with the ROC to coordinate service adjustments.
• Respond to service disruptions and emergencies with operational solutions.
• Ensure compliance with rail operating rules, policies, and federal regulations.
• Document incidents and prepare reports for safety and performance reviews.
