Job summary

DB E.C.O North America, Inc. is seeking a senior operations planning professional to transform client requirements into effective operational plans and to oversee the quality of work produced by analysts and consultants.

You will develop strong client relationships, conduct research and studies, and present results to senior management. Experience with timetable development and infrastructure coordination in the U.S. rail sector is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Transportation, Business Administration or similar (M.Sc.).
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in railroad operations planning or timetable development, including work with a Class 1 railroad in the United States.
• Deep understanding of American freight railroad operations and capacity planning.
• Strong project management and ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with MS-Office for analyses and quantitative models.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.
• Interest in mobility and railway transportation challenges.

Responsibilities

• Transform client requirements into efficient operational plans.
• Oversee quality of technical work produced by analysts and consultants.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Perform research, analyses, and coordinate studies; lead workshops.
• Present project results to senior management.
• Prepare proposals, budgets and schedules.
• Leverage Deutsche Bahn subject matter experts in other projects when applicable.
