Job summary

Keolis America Inc. in the Boston area leads the MBTA Commuter Rail mechanical team, overseeing all shift-based maintenance, servicing, and safety.

You will ensure proper staffing, adherence to budgets, and timely completion of inspections and repairs while maintaining high safety and quality standards. The role requires experience in a unionized environment and strong cross-functional collaboration with MBTA and suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure designated shift(s) are properly resourced to deliver the required work in line with the Service Level Agreement.
• Manage and oversee priorities for the shift to meet safety, production, quality, and cost targets.
• Provide guidance for team members on technical and operational issues.
• Provide managerial leadership to the Mechanical Department, including coaching and development.
• Drive safety performance improvements and direct operations during service disruptions and extreme weather.
• Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, oil/fuel management, and hazardous waste regulations.
• Coordinate with other departments and MBTA for smooth operations.
• Carry out continuous improvement to optimize performance and financial results.
