BNSF Railway is seeking an Experienced First Line Supervisor - Mechanical to lead daily mechanical operations for locomotives and railcars. This role emphasizes safety, productivity, and a strong leadership presence to mentor staff and maintain high maintenance standards.

The position supports a 24/7 operations environment, with orientation at Fort Worth and hands-on training at Overland Park before field deployment.

Qualifications

• Legally eligible to work in the United States and 18+ with a valid driver's license.
• Willing to work a 24/7 schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Willing to relocate across the western United States as required.
• Minimum of 3 years supervising 5+ employees in a military or professional setting.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inspection, maintenance and repair of railcars and locomotives safely and efficiently.
• Oversee mechanical shop employees in a union environment.
• Assign and coordinate daily schedules for personnel.
• Ensure labor and equipment are positioned to meet daily plan needs.
• Foster cross-functional teamwork to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
• Safeguard compliance with company policies, safety rules, union agreements, and FRA regulations.
