Job summary

Blue Tide's re-refinery in Baytown, Texas is seeking a Sr. Rail Logistics Coordinator to manage the movement, tracking, and documentation of railcar shipments in support of our operations.

You will serve as the primary point of contact between our facility, Class I and short line railroads, customers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring railcars move efficiently, delays are resolved quickly, and shipment records stay accurate.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of rail logistics experience, preferably with bulk commodities.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Monitor inbound/outbound railcars and resolve delays.
• Coordinate with Class I railroads and partners to track movements.
• Maintain railcar/shipment records in TMS.
• Prepare shipment docs and status reports.
• Manage demurrage/detention and invoice disputes.
• Build relationships with railroads, customers, and vendors.
• Align rail shipments with production/delivery schedules.
• Submit rail nominations to receiving terminals.
• Update management on problem loads and actions taken.
• Monitor railcar trace reports and confirm arrivals.
