Job summary

RSI Logistics, Inc. in the United States (The Woodlands, TX) is seeking a Rail Site Coordinator to plan and coordinate railcar movements among manufacturing locations, storage yards, customers, and third-party sites.

The role manages loaded and empty railcar levels and schedules to meet production needs, with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance. The coordinator will work with rail operators, plant staff, and suppliers to ensure timely shipments, accurate billing, and avoidance of holds

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in rail operations or logistics coordination.
• Proficient in the use of logistics software, SAP, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong knowledge of rail industry regulations and safety standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail in high-stakes operations environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to meet inbound railcar needs and safety stocks.
• Ensure local yards have capacity and correct railcar types available.
• Coordinate and schedule railcars from serving yards to loading racks with exact spots.
• Execute shipments of loaded and empty railcars, including hazardous materials, as required.
• Ensure cross-border shipments clear customs and have no holds.
• Maintain relationships with railroad contacts and plant operators.
• Communicate with railroads to mitigate service issues.
• Identify and mitigate local service issues promptly through proper channels.
• Escalate service issues and data problems when needed.
• Participate in after-hours support and rotational schedule duties.
• Weekend and holiday coverage is required.
