Job summary

Watco is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator in Houston to safely operate a variety of heavy machinery to support material handling and site operations. The role requires adherence to safety standards, accurate record-keeping, and clear communication with team members.

Schedule includes shift rotations and potential overtime; location is 14035 Industrial Rd., Houston, TX 77015. Prior experience with rail-related equipment is preferred, and training opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain TWIC.
• Class A CDL or ability to obtain one.
• Experience or training in heavy equipment operation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy rail-related machinery safely and efficiently.
• Conduct routine inspections and keep inspection records.
• Follow safety regulations and company procedures at all times.
• Read and interpret material lists, safety manuals, and operation instructions.
• Assist with track materials installation, repair, and alignment.
• Perform basic field repairs and communicate issues to maintenance.
