New York Air Brake is seeking a Repair Technician 1 - 2nd Shift (training on 1st) in Riverside, Missouri. The role involves disassembly and cleaning of freight valves, operating semi-automatic equipment, and strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

Training on first shift is provided. The position requires good mechanical skills and ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Basic disassembly and washing of freight or locomotive valves or brake pistons.
• Operate semi-automatic equipment (pedestal buffers, hand buffers, wash machines, ultrasonic washers).
• Handle valves, parts, tools in a safe manner.
• Use of power and hand tools (impact wrenches, drills, EZ Outs).
• Follow quality and safety rules and procedures.
• Perform hazardous waste management duties; DOT hazardous materials training every 3 years.
• Support Quality, Product Safety and Health/Safety/Environmental policies.
• Understand and adhere to IMS policies and KPIs.
