Job summary

New York Air Brake LLC, part of the Knorr‑Bremse Group, is seeking a hands-on technician for its Riverside, MO facility. The role involves basic valve disassembly, washing, and safe handling of tools on a first shift with potential Friday overtime.

Benefits start day one and safety training is provided. The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–2 years of related experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance, while adhering to strict quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of related experience preferred.
• Must pass drug, background, physical and audiogram.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds with assistance.
• Must understand safety, quality and regulatory policies.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble and wash freight or locomotive valves or brake pistons.
• Operate semi-automatic equipment such as pedestal buffers and wash machines.
• Handle valves, parts and tools safely.
• Use power and manual tools (impact wrenches, drills).
• Follow all quality, product safety and environmental policies.
• Perform hazardous waste management as required.
• Adhere to KPIs and regulatory requirements.
