Job summary
Olsson is seeking an Entry-Level Rail Engineer (Engineer-in-Training) to join our Rail Construction & Administration Management (CAM) team. You will gain hands-on experience in rail construction, inspections, geotechnical field work, and project delivery while developing technical and leadership skills.
Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Construction Engineering, an EIT or ability to obtain it soon, strong communication, and a willingness to travel up to 100%
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Geotechnical/Construction Engineering or related field.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or ability to obtain shortly after hire.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Demonstrated interest in field-based engineering, construction observation, and railroad operations.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% during peak construction periods.
Responsibilities
- Work with the Rail CAM team across multiple practice areas.
- Assist in field operations, construction observation, and inspections.
- Collaborate with project managers, track inspectors, and geotechnical staff.
- Gain exposure to rail infrastructure projects from planning to delivery.
