Job summary

Olsson’s Rail Traffic team combines traffic engineering with railroad coordination and project delivery. As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in assisting with traffic and preemption analysis and design, conducting site visits, and contributing to plans and studies for Class I railroads, state DOTs and other clients.

You will develop technical expertise and project management skills, with occasional travel to job sites and client meetings, to improve safety and mobility nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 6+ years of traffic or transportation engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Conducting site visits and contributing to the review and preparation of plans and/or studies.
• Collaborating closely with team members on complex projects.
• Travel to job sites for observation and client meetings on occasion.
