Job summary

Olsson is seeking a Project Engineer for its Rail Traffic team to help with traffic and preemption analysis and design. The role involves site visits, contributing to plans and studies, and collaborating with the team on complex projects for railroad clients and state/local agencies.

You will work with Class I railroads and DOTs, with occasional travel to job sites and client meetings, expanding your skills in project delivery and client service while leveraging your civil engineering background.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
• 6+ years of traffic or transportation engineering experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Synchro, or similar software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and assist with the review and preparation of plans and studies.
• Collaborate closely with team members on complex projects and support project delivery.
• Occasional travel to job sites for observation and client meetings.
