Job summary

PTS Advance is seeking an organized Rail Operations Coordinator in Houston to join a collaborative team focused on rail fleet data, regulatory testing, and operational planning. You will interface with external rail vendors and internal stakeholders to identify trends, track fleet metrics, and respond to future operational requirements.

The role emphasizes daily tracking of rail movement, accurate data entry in the TMS, proactive issue resolution with railroads, and generating essential shipping

Responsibilities

• Perform daily tracking and tracing of rail fleet equipment, maintaining data in the rail tracking system and railroad systems.
• Ensure shipment information is populated in Transmetrics TMS and cars are allocated properly.
• Proactive communication with railroads to resolve service issues in First Mile and Last Mile operations.
• Generate bills of lading, diversions and reships as needed.
• Assist with managing EDI billing issues as they arise.
• Assist Rail Operations to resolve data discrepancies in Transmetrics TMS and add comments to jeopardized shipments.
• Coordinate with Rail Coordinators in managing rail fleet at storage facilities.
• Develop and manage rail reports for rail pipeline and regulatory testing, and work with railroads on systemic resolution.
• Assist Rail Coordinator with supply management of empty and loaded railcars to/from P66 locations.
• Analyze rail movement data to build metrics, identify cost drivers, trends and drive optimization.

Job description

This role requires working on a collaborative team with strong communication skills, attention to detail and to interface with external rail vendors as well as internal stakeholders to identify and respond to rail trends, fleet metrics, and future operational requirements. The scope of accountability for the Rail team includes all bulk liquids (Crude Oil and other renewable/non-hydrocarbon feedstocks, Refined Products, Specialty Products, NGLs/LPGs etc.)

Responsibilities:

• Perform daily tracking and tracing of P66 rail fleet equipment, maintaining and documenting data in rail tracking system (Transmetrics TMS) and railroad systems.


• Ensuring shipment information is populated within Transmetrics TMS and cars are allocated appropriately.


• Daily proactive communication with railroads to resolve all types of service issues including First Mile and Last Mile local service.


• Generate bills of lading, diversions and or reships as needed.


• Assist with managing EDI billing issues as they arise.
