Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate (speak, hear and understand) English.
• Able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds.
• Able to climb/descend ladders and get on/off equipment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Travel may be required for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Communicate information via oral and written channels, monitor and report daily work.
• Operate track switches and derails to change train routing and ensure proper alignment.
• Inspect trains and equipment, assess car make-up and compliance with federal regulations.
• Work in a safety-sensitive environment under extreme weather conditions.
• Follow safety policies, wear PPE, and adhere to regulations; participate in safety conversations.
