Watco is hiring a conductor/engineer to control and coordinate train movements while switching railcars at customer sites, yards, or terminals. This manual labor role requires following procedures after a training period.

Starting pay is $24/hour with on-the-job training and opportunities for career advancement. The position emphasizes safety, reliability, and teamwork across Watco’s network.

Qualifications

• Must pass training and required testing.
• Able to read, write and understand English and basic math.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate train movements and switching operations as directed.
• Demonstrate reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Read switching orders and communicate with yard staff and engineers.
• Operate locomotive following safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain records of cars switched and cargo.
