Job summary

Watco's conductors and engineers coordinate train movements at yards, industrial plants, and terminals to service customers safely and efficiently. This is a manual labor role that trains you in switching operations and locomotive control.

As part of a supportive team, you will learn from peers, gain hands-on experience at Watco's Safe Performance Center, and have opportunities for leadership development and career advancement.

Qualifications

• Must pass training and required testing.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic math knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable attendance.
• Follow directions to complete tasks on schedule.
• Read, write, and communicate in English; understand basic math.
• Read switching orders and coordinate train crews.
• Observe signals and operate locomotive per rules.
• Maintain records of cars switched.
