Job summary

Watco Transloading is hiring for a Conductor/Engineer to control and coordinate train movements, switching railcars at yards, plants, or similar locations to facilitate loading and unloading for customers. This is a manual labor role requiring training and adherence to safety procedures.

Responsibilities include following directions, reading switching orders, supervising crews, and communicating via radio while operating locomotives under railroad rules. Training and onboarding provided.

Qualifications

• Read, write, and communicate in English and understand basic math.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate predictable, reliable attendance.
• Follow written and verbal directions to complete tasks.
• Read and interpret switching orders.
• Supervise and coordinate train crews.
• Operates locomotive per railroad rules and signals.
• Reads signals and ensures safe switching of cars.
• Maintain records of cars switched and cargo.
• Perform other duties as requested.
