Kawasaki Rail Car Lincoln, INC seeks a Manufacturing Process Engineer Intern at our Rail Car manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE.

Responsibilities include learning and supporting warehouse processes, assisting engineers with tool design/modeling, updating procedures, and developing CI projects for testing passenger rail cars. The position is part-time during the school year and full-time in the summer, paid via Advance Services Inc.

Qualifications

• Some college experience preferred (Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related degree).
• High School diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Learn and support the warehouse process including special kit carts and improve standard kit cart process.
• Assist engineers with tasks and projects, for example, tool design/modeling
• Update operation procedures and work instructions
• Develop and implement continuous improvement projects associated with the functional testing of passenger rail cars
