Kawasaki Rail Car Lincoln, INC is seeking a dedicated Production Planning Specialist for our Lincoln, Nebraska manufacturing site. The role focuses on coordinating information with customers and suppliers, maintaining inventory, and monitoring production schedules using SAP and Excel tools.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED with preferred higher education, 2+ years in manufacturing planning, and strong problem-solving and cross‑department communication skills.

Qualifications

• High School degree or GED required; Associate/Bachelor preferred.
• Intermediate Excel skills including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, charts, and macros/VBA.
• At least 2 years scheduling/planning experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Ability to adapt to changing conditions and solve problems quickly.
• Comfort with tracking inventory deliveries and shipments and confirming late deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, communicate and distribute information with customers or suppliers.
• Develop and implement procedures to maintain adequate inventory levels.
• Monitor and report production schedule performance using SAP data.
• Process, record and maintain data in Excel.
• Schedule, expedite, and coordinate delivery and movement of critical material.
