Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist I to independently perform radiographic examinations per department protocols and ACR standards using state-of-the-art imaging equipment and PACS. You will contribute to patient safety, quality, and the patient experience within a supportive team.

The role requires completion of an accredited radiology program, ARRT registry eligibility with 12-month ARRT completion, and Massachusetts licensure with Basic Life Support.

Qualifications

• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license required.

Responsibilities

• As part of the Radiology team, the Radiology Technologist I greets, escorts, assesses, educates and identifies patients to make them feel welcomed and comfortable while completing safety checks.
• Performs exams using ALARA standards (As Low as Reasonably Acceptable).
• Completes diagnostic imaging examinations following Radiologists' established protocols.
• Enters examinations accurately and documents information and charges properly.
• Electronically sends and stores images and data in PACS.
• Maintains department records and logs to monitor quality and safety.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment reflecting our safety culture.
• Assists with supply and equipment issues to ensure smooth operations and maintenance.
• transports and assists ambulatory patients as needed.
• Educates patients and families throughout the experience.
• Communicates with the healthcare team using handoff procedures.
• Provides feedback to improve teamwork and safety, and adheres to infection control protocols.

Education

Completed accredited Radiology Technology Program and registry eligible
