Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to independently perform radiographic examinations in line with department protocols and ACR imaging standards, using state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. This role helps improve safety, quality, and the patient experience.

You will greet and educate patients, operate imaging systems, document findings, upload images to PACS, and maintain records. Massachusetts licensure and ARRT registry eligibility are required, along with BLS.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited Radiology Technology Program and registry eligible.
• Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist license and ARRT registry eligible.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Associates degree in Radiology Technology preferred.
• At least one year of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greets, escorts, assesses, educates patients and ensures safety checks.
• Performs exams using ALARA standards.
• Completes diagnostic imaging exams following radiologists' protocols.
• Enters examinations accurately and documents charges.
• Sends and stores images in PACS.
• Maintains department records and logs for quality and safety.
• Maintains a clean, safe work environment and culture of safety.
• Coordinates work with supervisor to maintain staffing levels.
• Provides patient education throughout the experience.
