Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking a Radiology Transporter to safely move patients within the facility, including to and from the OR and PACU. You will handle wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds, and assist with room turnover while maintaining strict safety and infection-control standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS certification, and the ability to lift 50 pounds. Prior CNA experience is welcome, with strong communication and teamwork skills essential for coordinating

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• Previous CNA experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 pounds and operate/move equipment safely.
• Corrected vision and hearing within normal range; ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clinical and support staff.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently transport patients to and from the Operating Room, PACU, Outpatient Services, and other designated areas.
• Transport patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, including those requiring oxygen, IV pumps, monitors, and other equipment.
• Assist in operating room turnover by cleaning between cases, moving equipment, and restocking supplies.
• Deliver specimens, equipment, and supplies to appropriate departments in a timely manner.
• Observe and report patient concerns, equipment malfunctions, or safety hazards to appropriate personnel.
