Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital seeks a Transporter-Radiology to move patients safely by wheelchair or stretcher and to support the imaging department. You will monitor patient condition, maintain confidentiality, and assist with safety practices during MRI transport, contributing to high-quality imaging services.

Ideal candidates have current BLS certification, CPI certification within 90 days if also acting as a sitter, and a HS diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• CPI certification within the first 90 days if also working as a sitter.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely by wheelchair or stretcher using side rails, safety straps and locks.
• Recognizes equipment or patient problems and alerts the nurse, technologist, or physician.
• Observes and monitors patient safety and comfort during transport and in imaging areas.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and demonstrates effective communication with patients and staff.
• Adheres to MRI safety practices and radiation safety principles when transporting.
• Greet and escort patients to imaging department rooms with secure valuables.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities for Temecula Valley Hospital.
