Job summary

Universal Health Services’ Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA is seeking a Transporter for the Radiology Department. You will move patients by wheelchair or stretcher, observe safety, assist with equipment, and support imaging staff to ensure smooth operations in a high-quality care environment.

Required are BLS certification, CPI within 90 days if sitter, and strong communication. Prior hospital experience is preferred; training on safety and devices is provided.

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• CPI Certification within 90 days if also working as a sitter.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1 year hospital patient-care experience preferred.
• Basic medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely by wheelchair or stretcher using appropriate devices.
• Recognizes equipment or patient issues and informs nurse or physician as needed.
• Monitors patient comfort, safety, and status during transport.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
• Adheres to safety practices, including MRI transport procedures.
• Greet and escort patients to imaging areas and secure valuables.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities and age-appropriate care standards.
