Job summary

Temecula Valley Hospital in Temecula, CA, seeks a Transporter-Radiology to safely move patients by wheelchair or stretcher and assist in the imaging suite. You will support radiology staff, maintain patient safety, and ensure smooth patient flow through the department.

This role requires BLS certification; CPI within 90 days if also working as a sitter. Prior hospital experience and strong communication are highly valued for teamwork and patient care.

Qualifications

• Current BLS (AHA) certification required.
• CPI certification within 90 days if also working as a sitter.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous hospital experience preferred.
• 1 year experience with patient care preferred.
• Basic medical terminology preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good body mechanics and basic computer skills.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a wide variety of team members.
• Aptitude for using general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients safely by wheelchair or stretcher with proper safety devices.
• Observes patient status and informs nurse or physician of concerns.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and professional demeanor
• Supports imaging department staff during exams and patient transport.
• Participates in safety and performance improvement activities.
